I am in the military. I enjoy it but this is not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I struggle everyday to be a stronger christian. I have my weaknesses, but God has blessed me in so many ways, and I can't thank Him enough.
I have always been brought up in a christian home, but growing up it was hard to go to church all the time. My mom became very sick when I seven years old. She had Multiple Scerosis. Better known as MS. As a child I didn't really get to have a normal childhood life. Most of the time while my Dad was at work, I was at home taking care of my Mom, so I didn't get to go out and play with friends. When I was about 13, my mom was put into a nursing home. She was there for 7 years. While I was deployed to Iwakuni, Japan my mom was put into a place called hospice. If you do not know what that is, it's a place where they take people to spend there last days, before they pass away. I took emergency leave from Japan to be with my mom. I watched my mom take here last breath on June 5, 2003. I am trying to keep a positive attitude about it. I know now that my mom is up in Heaven looking down on me, and now she has no more sickness. Watching the process of my mom passing away was a very difficult thing for me to watch, but certain things that happened made me realize that I needed to rededicate my life to the Lord. Two months after my mom passed away I met this girl who I have been with for 8 months now. She is so wonderful. God knew that I was going to need someone to help me through my time of loss and my girlfriend has done that, we have a great relationship. God is amazing.
